Let me start by saying that the teachers are GREAT. That’s the only reason we stayed. When we started, I purchased ballet shoes for my daughter and after a couple months of not receiving them I asked her teacher bc the owner is hard to reach. She contacted the owner and she said they had them. They didn’t and had to be ordered again. We got them quickly after that so I’m guessing they weren’t ordered. I was annoyed but not a huge deal, things happen. The owner is difficult to reach or doesn’t respond and then I would have to go through her teacher to get a response from the owner. I did get the owners number bc the back and forth was getting old. I did get responses when I sent texts but sometimes it would take awhile. We decided to withdraw as my daughter was bored and I text the owner to ask how to unenroll her. She was on vacation but would do it when she got back. No problem and I wouldn’t expect her to do anything on vacation. She must’ve forgot bc I was charged for months that she wasn’t enrolled. If you have a new student to enroll and have questions, good luck. Thank goodness my friends daughter went there and she was able to clue me in on things. The owner was nice whenever I could get ahold of her but I feel like she’s extremely unorganized and could benefit from additional help.

Our daughter has gone to Dance Experience for a few years and loves it. We've never had a problem with the teachers being late for class or not responding to emails and we definitely have never experienced them being short or snippy. It's quite the opposite. The reason we love the studio is because of the family feel. There are many options in O'Fallon but I’m sure none of them will feel the same. As for the recital, we love the fact that the studio only gives out 6 tickets. I don't want to fight someone's entourage just to find a seat to watch my daughter dance. In fact, every year I find that people show up at the recital with extra tickets. May I suggest you take time out of your "busy life" to put some effort into the relationship…ask around for tickets or more importantly discuss these issues with the teacher or the owner. No where is perfect, but for our money, Dance Experience has been a great experience.

My daughters danced at Dance Experience for 2 years. I must say I was not happy with how little they learned. The recital was a joke. Every (not an exaggeration) class that danced looked unprepared and as if they just started dancing. Nothing showed a year of hard work. It was a mess. My daughters took tap/ballet/jazz and hip-hop/poms...their skill level was the same from the first day of class to the last day. The teachers are not aggressive with the girls and let them fall behind...really shows at recital There is NO structure. I was embarrassed that my family had to see what a waste of time and money was spent. Very disappointed in what little is taught. Plus, the class sizes are too big. Too many girls so it's easy for girls to get lost. If you're looking for casual, fun play this is your place.

All the teachers here are so sweet and supportive! They push us to try new things to push ourselves physically, but they are also there for you emotionally and mentally, and I think that is a very important thing to have at a dance studio. This is a place where we learn to use dance to express ourselves, and where we can meet life long friends!

I contacted this studio twice to get more information for their classes for my daughter. In a month’s time no one has returned my calls. The website also is not current.
