We adopted our dog, Charlie, at 1.5 years old. He was in dire need of some obedience training. We got a referral for Kim from a previous client.
We really liked that she came to our house so we could deal with issues that were happening in our home. She was very knowledgeable about dog behavior and was able to pinpoint a couple of behaviors we could work on right away.
The most helpful was knowing when to ignore a behavior and when/how to meet a behavior with redirection.
She was so positive in her tone and demeanor when dealing with Charlie. She knew how to handle "curve balls" that were thrown at her in the training.
She came once a month for 5 months. The sessions lasted an hour. She always worked around what day/time was best for our family.
She would always follow up with any issues that we might be experiencing from the previous training session. Then we talked about any questions/new issues we might be experiencing. She tailored the sessions according to behaviors we wanted to work on.
She always emailed notes from our session so we could refer back as we practiced at home. I felt very comfortable emailing her with any questions about the training or new concerns.
I liked the time span between visits because it gave us and Charlie time to adapt to a new skill before we started to work on something else.
Charlie is doing very well. We learned a lot of techniques and commands that help Charlie act as a good citizen in our home and community! The best skill/commands we learned was for loose leash walking! Walks were not pleasant when we first got him, but now we all enjoy our walks together!

Kim is great! She knows so much about dogs and how to help solve their issues (and ours). The techniques we learned from her have helped our rescue begin to settle in and understand what good dog behavior is. Thanks so much1

We went to Positive Paws for anxiety our dog has around other dogs. Kim prepared a great plan to help our dog. She met us at a nearby park so we could be around other dogs at a safe distance. She wrote down everything she worked on so we can continue working with our dog on our own.
Our dog really learned alot from Kim and so did we!
She always answered any questions we had. She was great to work with and our dog loved her!
We would definately recommend her!

We worked with Kim, she was absolutely amazing, very kind and knowledgeable. Our pup is 3 and needed help socializing. We definitely had much success with our training and it was very hands on for our entire family. It was nice to actually go to a park and working on training skills rather than just practice at a facility.
