So this place. The building is very old, and the bathrooms are ridiculous, but the pizza..... This place has the best St. Louis style pizza I've ever had. The crust was firm and crispy, with a nice char around the edges. The sauce to cheese ratio was perfect. The sauce was savory and not over sweet. They are generous with the topping. It was so damn good. Oh and the garlic cheese bread was also amazing. The staff was also very friendly.
Visited two weeks ago and had the prime rib. That was good as the pictures. Then went back today. Took a first time adventure and ordered the vegetarian lasagna entree. It was shockingly good and much lighter fare than the traditional preparation.
Every time I come in for lunch I'm greeted in a friendly way. I'm given a glass of water, told the special of the day, given time to look over menu and make my choices. I've yet to have a bad meal regardless of what I choose. My latest visit, May 4th, was the special of the day which was a salmon patty that was delicious!! As always, my waitress, Jessie, gave me ample time to enjoy my salad before bringing out the main course. Then I am always given plenty of time to eat before my bill is brought out. My latest visit was enjoyable in every way possible.
We got breaded artichoke, really good with a little salt. A side salad, the blue cheese was superb. Thin crust pizza tomato,bacon, sausage. Our waitress was really nice, and we had an amazing dinner. Absolutely loved the location, there's a nice area on cobblestone to take a stroll Definitely one of my new favorite places to eat and enjoy a great evening.
Had a very nice evening meal at Pio’s. Jennie was our server and provided excellent service. The lasagna was excellent. The blue cheese dressing was most excellent. The atmosphere at this restaurant is very relaxing and worth your time to visit.
