Lyons Frozen Custard is the best! I love the family owned business. I met the wonderful ladies at the festival, through a mutual friend Brandy C. N.
The Custard is so crazy and delicious. Also, the prices make sense.
Wifey got the FREE Mothers Day Strawberry Shortcake, and I got the boys' small and medium cones.
It was very busy on the property, but crowds seemed to come and go quickly.
After Deters closed, I really missed the Mom & Pop shops. I am glad Lyons is still around.

Hands down the best frozen custard in the region. It's creamy, rich, and delicious silky smooth soft serve. The girls are always kind, have excellent customer service, and make the best desserts in generous portions. My family has been going here for many years and will be until they close the doors. You must try it!!!

The custard selection isn’t bad, the atmosphere and outdoor space is nice. Service is quick and friendly. My only problem is the custard… this custard is absolutely the saltiest I’ve ever tasted. I know that’s weird to say about frozen custard, but it’s absolutely true. I couldn’t finish my cone I was so thirsty and felt like my mouth was burning from all the salty taste.

Good, standard, standby for ice cream treats in St. Charles. Lots of options, which is always great. Expect to wait a while on warm summer nights.

Pros: -The location is super convenient. It is just by the library, some schools and Jaycee Playground.
-The staff is nice and on their feet.
-The ice cream is fresh.
-They sell a super cool t-shirt for $10.
Cons: -The ice cream is good, but not fantastic. Somehow I do not love their recipe. I kind of can feel the taste of the eggs too much. I can see it is made with care, I just do not like the formula.
-The building itself needs some renovations. There is no reason for them to don't buy a gallon of paint that costs $30 and take care of the peeling and rusted paint in some areas to present a more attractive place.
Overall I enjoy coming here.
