Go see Chris, she was great! Let us take our time browsing for a bedroom set and mattress. She knew it was a big purchase and did not pressure us at all, but provided great info and support. We ended up going to a few other places and the decided to come back to Ashley and complete the sale with Chris. She walked us through the whole purchase and got us delivery in about a week- week & a half, delivered today. Delivery was updated & timely, and all furniture looks great, we’re very happy with the purchase & service.
Chris was our sales lady, and she was fantastic. She listened to our concerns, and we were able to find everything we needed & wanted. We purchased a corner sofa with a chase, also an entertainment center with a fireplace insert. I can't wait for them to be delivered and start using them. When we met Chris that morning, I said that I wasn't paying for delivery. Well Ashely charges for delivery and not a set price nor is it calculated by the amount of furniture you buy. It is calculated by how much money you spend. I said I don't care I am not paying to have it delivered when I am paying a high price already because furniture is the highest marked up item, we American's buy. She took it out of her own pocket/commission to make it, so I did NOT have to pay for delivery. I thought that was so nice of her to do that for me. She was so accommodating and sweet. I wish she didn't have to do that. I wish Ashley didn't charge for delivery. I just want Ashely to know that Chris is an exceptional employee and makes sure her customers are very happy before they leave. Thank you, Chris, for your hospitality and being a great saleswoman. We purchased a new dining table that we love; however buyer beware. We used the table one time to add the leaf. Upon taking the leaf out, we were not able to fully close the table. We attempted to open the table back up so we could have a functional table while we waited on a response from Ashley on what to do and now the table will not fully open to put the leaf back in. The track appears off track/warped/jammed. The table was delivered on Tuesday, June 20th and we found out about this issue one week later on June 27th. We did not receive a phone call back from the store after leaving a message and the O’Fallon store didn’t respond to any calls the last 1.5 hours they were open on the evening of the 27th. I emailed the person who kept me informed of the delivery and finally received an email response from her, saying she put in a work ticket. I did make contact with the sales person who sold us the table and was informed that we wouldn’t hear back for most likely 72 hours from the service center. I reached out via email for a status update and received texts prior to the 72 hours because it’s not acceptable to have to wait 3 days when we were sold a damaged/defective item. After texting with the service center I am less than impressed. The one star is simply for Nate, who was great to work with and got us our furniture quickly. It’s not acceptable to quote “policies” as a good reason to not immediately replace a table that was sold damaged/defective that we’ve only had for one week. Keep in mind, if you purchase a table with a leaf make sure you put the leaf in and take it out and that the table fully closes before you sign and the delivery driver leaves. We were told we should have inspected for damages; lesson learned that means we need to also inspect for full functionality. I’m disappointed that we have to wait an additional 7-10 days for parts to arrive to possibly repair a table that is already fully paid for instead of having something new that was made correctly and inspected properly for good quality. As of now, this experience will cause us to look elsewhere for our additional furniture needs. I do want to add that we also purchase a couch that is worth 5 stars and an oversized ottoman that we are very happy with. The only downside to the ottoman was it was delivered with the wrong legs and we had to wait several days for those to be ordered and haven’t been delivered.
Jeff introduced himself, briefly told us about the sale and then let us wander through the store. At one point, he asked if we had any questions. I really appreciate his sales approach. Also, he was very knowledgeable about the furniture.
Such a great experience buying at Ashley! Amy is always such great help & has been along for the ride with us through our furniture shopping journey! Highly recommend her and Ashley for all your household needs!
