Wish they could be more understanding of emergencies and things happening but all they care about is collecting 25.00 for canceling 20 hour in advance and not 24 hours. I loved taking my dogs there but sometimes it's about compassion so we will not be going back. Not only was it 25.00 but that is per dog. I don't feel I need to provide the nature of my husband's surgery but state that things happen emergently and I did give a 20 hour notice. At the end of the day it doesn't matter, I have someplace else to take them who and they are understanding of emergencies and don't need to know the nature of surgery. I really did think this was a great place and the dogs looked amazing but I don't feel it's appropriate to explain where and what and every detail to make you understand what an emergency is. Lastly I didn't call for you to waive the fees but you recall I called to pay what I thought was 25.00. I could have just never returned but I didn't do that. I called and gave you my information to pay the fee. I'm just surprised your lack if compassion and being noisy about the details. If I did this before I could understand but I truly had an issue and couldn't get the dogs there. I still gave a 20 hour notice. It's not like I canceled the morning of. I don't want you to waive my fees just let people know you don't care about people. I did respect your time. Remember I called to pay the fee.
****I had a 3 star review until the owner replied! I was never informed that picking my dog up an hour after they call as “late.” And how was there a second offense when the consumer was never informed of the first offense.*** I have no complaints for the actual services performed on my dog which is ultimately what matters. The reason for my review is because I was hit with a $10 fee because I picked my dog up after 4. No one informed me of this fee and when confronted about it, the young lady didn't really know how to respond. There were a lot of employees still there when I picked up my dog so I guess I don't understand the point of the fee. I communicated that my wife had a doctors appointment go longer than expected and that I couldn't leave work right then and there to pick him up. I've been bringing my dog here for about a year now and had great interactions until now. If you tell customer's you're going to charge a fee, disclose that before they get there instead of hitting them with it when they get there.
Do a great job grooming my dog, and she is there only 4 hours or less. Some groomers keep your dog all day. We don't like that.
Following a bad grooming experience at Westinn Kennels, and dealing with their absurd wait times, we tried out Bark Avenue. Scheduling was quick and easy, had openings within the next week, and their customer service was top notch. It was a little expensive but our beast weighs almost 150 lb so we've come to expect the extra cost, was well worth it. His haircut, wash, and nails were done great.
Very friendly people that treat my dog's great and do an awesome job on their grooming!
