This fine establishment is a little slice of culinary, ursine Shangri-La. I arrived in St. Charles after a 5 and 1/2 hour drive from Little Rock and not eating anything all day, chose Black Bear based on a quick Google search of local eateries and its super-fun branding, and was delighted.
Coming in around 2:30 P.M. on a major, national holiday (Labor Day) there were other patrons but it wasn't crazy-busy. Parking was still easily available. The interior looks and feels pristine. The cinnamon roll French toast immediately caught my eye and wound up comprising my entire order...it was heavenly! 3 hearty rolls with ample maple syrup to drizzle was the sweetest of treats. Not to mention the side of fresh fruit!
Time between ordering and receiving was outstanding, roughly 15 minutes. My server, Raven, was so friendly and courteous. She even took a second to make sure I was enjoying myself while tending to another table. The cashier, Anthony, was equally welcoming and friendly. If I'm ever in town again - probably to visit my eldest cousin, if anything - I'll be sure to make a special trip back here.

This place is amazing. So fun and inviting. The staff was very friendly and personable. This was MY 1st time there and we celebrated my daughters 12th bday. We had breakfast/lunch. The menu, where do I even start🤯so many options. Just know I cant wait to come back and try something else on the menu. We had a group of 7 and was sat immediate on a Sunday afternoon, love it! The gift shop was so cute and had different things to choose from. Our server Grace was very attentive and had everything on point. When we cashed out Zachary was patient with us due to not making our minds up with what we wanted from the gift shop. He also pitched the QR code on bag to sign up for future visits. If I could give more stars I would. Just an overall hands down great restaurant experience. Now days that's hard to come by. Keep up the outstanding hospitality. I will most definitely be returning. Thanks again for making our special day even more memorable🥳❣

Went on a slower Sunday late afternoon. Nice and peaceful. Server was bubbly. Food was great. It was my daughter's 1st time eating there. She's a picky eater and a small portion type. She ordered the Classic Benedict and ATE IT ALL. I,knew the food was really good but they outdone themselves in the eyes of a preteen girl.

The portions are huge ! Look at the size of a simple biscuit. And the order came with two. That's a whole loaf of bread here ! The prices are really fair, almost cheap for the amount you are getting. The service was efficient and polite. We will most likely come back.
