We had 9 people for Thanksgiving. So we understand it is a holiday. The place is nice. We had to wait over 30 minutes past our reservation. Understandable under the circumstances. They were out of some sides and rather than ask they free substitute the side. That was a bit odd for such a place. The potatoes were room temperature when they came out and the vegetables were very hard. Still had an acceptable time. Wife and I go to the other Bristol on Olive a couple times a year.

Bri was great, and we had an excellent meal. Definitely get the filet medium rare. It was wonderful. Carrot cake is unbeatable.

Really nice place. Food was good. Service was good. Atmosphere was exactly what I expected. I would definitely go back. I don't normally go to nicer places, so I am not sure if the prices are good or normal.

Visited Bristol's in O'Fallon on a recent trip to the St. Louis, MO area. Nice restaurant, good service, food generally above par, prices way above market for comparable restaurant fare. The cocktails were good, and we shared a nice rose wine from France. The lobster bisque was delicious, nice chunks of lobster included. The strawberry-pistachio salad was good, but overly covered with dressing. The crab cakes were good, mostly crab, little filler. The Alaskan Halibut was over-cooked and dry, only saved by the sauces on the table. A very disappointing dish, especially for the price. Bristol's has a long history in the St. Louis seafood restaurant scene, but for the money, there are many other places with better food at better prices.

I ordered my steak, no pink, to which my waitress said, "Well done ?". I agreed. My steak was served by someone other than our waitress. I cut into my steak to find it was cooked medium to rare. After several minutes our waitress finally was near enough for me to get her attention. I showed her my steak to which she said "You ordered it well, right ?" I said yes & she offered to have the steak cooked well. After several minutes the waitress returned my well done steak. By this time, the other members of my party were finished with their meals. The waitress brought an extra dessert and removed the cost of my meal. Unfortunately, the experience will probably keep me from returning.
