The buying experience was wonderful and very fast. All the paperwork was finished before hand and I was able to check out the car and get on the road in about 30 minutes. Down side is the car needed tires and also brakes. For the price I paid it should have not needed tires immediately.

The initial process was straightforward and hassle-free. We conducted an extensive search and were able to inspect any vehicle we desired. The following day, we made an online appointment to test drive the vehicle. While we could have scheduled the test drive during our first visit, we were still exploring other dealerships.
The test drive was conducted smoothly, and the salesperson was courteous. However, they did exert significant pressure to purchase extended warranties, so it is advisable to firmly decline if such coverage is not necessary for your financial needs. Aside from the persistent sales pitch regarding warranties, the visit was generally pleasant. The entire process took approximately an hour. We also appreciated CarMax’s efforts in filling up our tank, cleaning our vehicle, and putting a ribbon on our car before leaving.
The sole reason I did not rate CarMax five stars was due to the Service Department’s failure to perform the maintenance tasks they had assured us they would prior to selling the vehicle. The oil was visibly dirty, the air filter appeared to have never been changed, ever (it was the worst I’ve ever seen in a vehicle), and the cabin filter was also in poor condition, emitting a foul mildew odor. Ten days after purchasing the vehicle, I contacted the Service Department, which reassured me that all maintenance had been completed before the car left the lot. This definitely wasn’t the case.
Apart from this issue, I would highly recommend considering CarMax for your next vehicle purchase. However, I suggest having your personal mechanic conduct a thorough inspection before making a decision.

This was the easiest purchase of a car we have ever had. Totally stress free. We found the perfect car for our limited income. It looked like a new, unused car. Plus, it had lower mileage of any other cars like it. Stephon took us through the purchase process and made it easy for us. If I ever hear of someone needing to buy a car, I'm sending them to CarMax in St. Peters, MO.
