I've been to five different rolled ice cream places and this is the first one I've found to offer a non-dairy option. The coconut milk option was surprisingly delicious and easy to digest.
The rolled creations can be put in a bowl, or a regular sugar cone or one of their specialty cones (which are also delicious).
You get 2 toppings of your choice.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The interior is very nice and open in a fully renovated Historic Downtown St. Charles space.
I only wish I didn't live so far away. Otherwise, I would get dessert here at least once a week, if not more.

Really neat atmosphere and it is so fun to watch the ice cream made. They have all types of combinations to add to their three base flavors. I was expecting more variety with the base flavors, but they had chocolate so I was happy. I got the "Go Bananas" chocolate- banana, Nutella, and a vanilla wafer was crushed into my ice cream. I then got a chocolate drizzle at the end. I will say the ice cream lacked a strong flavor, but it was a unique experience everyone should try at least once.

The owners have done such a great job with this new location.
The venue decor and ambiance is beautiful... I told my husband that I've never seen such a beautiful ice-cream shop before! I love the brick wall along with the black and white Craving the Curls sign to take fun pictures in front of after getting our ice-cream.
Along with the setting, the workers are fantastic. The owner, Joe, is super knowledgeable of his product - and the workers always greet us in a super positive manner.
Now, the product in itself is FANTASTIC. First off, my son LOVES watching the works churn and create our order behind the glass. Secondly, I love that we get to choose extra toppings. It's SO much ice-cream... so we really feel like we're getting a bang for our buck every time we stop by.
We're definitely encouraging all of our friends and relatives to check this place out! Never been to a rolled ice-cream shop before - and now we're hooked!

Loved this different take on ice cream! I had the chocolate ice cream with brownie and peanut butter sauce then added peanut butter cup, banana, and whipped cream (no extra charge for up to 3 additional toppings). It was heavenly! Love the downtown charm of the area. Priced a little high but it was worth it!

I like the presentation and atmosphere at Craving the Curls. You can watch your ice cream curls being made right in front of you as they chop up the ingredients and mix with liquid to form a flat sheet and let it freeze, then scrape it off of the cold surface into the curls. The ice cream is very tasty and you choose three toppings at the end. It is a bit pricey as far as ice cream goes, but I suppose you're paying for the show of a single serving of ice cream being made specifically for you. I wish there was a kids size option as my kids didn't eat all of theirs and it cost $6.99 per cup of curls. I'll probably go back just to try more of the flavor combinations.
