The doctor is fabulous. There is an employee named Shayla who is rude and unprofessional. When I picked up my glasses and asked for and adjustment she would not adjust the bridge. Told me to wear them for a few days and then come back. I asked for a cleaning cloth which has always been included in a glasses purchase in every other place I have purchased glasses. She told me they only include it if I buy a warranty. She begrudgingly gave me one and I had to ask for cleaner since she hadn’t wiped her own fingerprints off my glasses. As I walked out I did not thank her (I felt I was doing her job) in a very snarky tone she said you’re welcome. What? For doing what you should have done? I ended up back there within an hour to get them adjusted because they were sliding down the bridge of my nose. I asked that someone other than Shayla help me.I would go back to the Doctor, but never order glasses there again.

I went here for a couple of years and everything was great. However, on my most recent visit, things started to get sketchy. First, I paid for the difference between what my insurance covered and the cost of my exam and glasses with my HSA. I ended up having to pay money back to my HSA because they charged me more than the difference. I don't know if my insurance paid more than they were expecting or if this was intentional, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and let it go.
I started getting reminders about my yearly exam this year, by text and email. I wasn't going to go back, so I ignored the messages. They set an appointment for me and sent me an email with a date and time I never agreed to. When I called to cancel, I asked if they would even be able to bill me after the insurance had been billed to avoid the double dipping issue. The young woman I spoke to said my insurance should have paid me the difference, which would mean the insurance company sending them what was covered PLUS sending me what I had paid in overlap. It was evident she didn't understand what the issue was, so I just cancelled my appointment. Between the double-dipping and the aggressive appointment making...this is just not a place I would recommend doing business with.

Dr. Konopik and staff are always kind and knowledgeable. I never have an issue getting in quickly if I'm having an issue. They are all truly the best.

USE CAUTION!!!
Protect yourself and your families.
I had eye inflammation and my doctor prescribed me an eye drop with the active ingredient being a medicine that I’m highly allergic too. This allergy was documented in all of my paperwork. When calling the doctor he was condescending and told me that it was the pharmacists job to double check his work. Pure negligence that could’ve caused real physical harm had I not been suspicious of the eye drops name and googled. Not to mention money spent on a medicine that I can’t even use.
Also the past 3 times I have ordered contacts I have never once received a phone call that they were in. I end up having to call and then the receptionist will tell me that they’ve been there for several days. I have addressed this with the receptionist and even updated my information every time and left a note specifically to have a phone call when the contacts arrive.
In summary protect yourself and your families and go to an eye doctor that listens to your concerns, reads your paperwork, and doesn’t put you at risk or harm.

Everyone is so nice and friendly. The staff helps you get the best deals through your insurance and very helpful when it comes to picking out your frames and lenses. I highly recommend the St Peter’s Mid Rivers location.
