If I could give Fred's more than 5 stars, I would. They consistently go above and beyond for me and my family. I know that I can trust them to give me quality work and a good price when I have vehicle issues. They rebuilt my Suburban engine from the block up and did an impeccable job. The even still take my phone calls after I brought them a Ranger with a whole lot of parts that were JB welded on (lol). I recommend Fred's to all my friends and family.
My family and I have been going to Fred's Automotive in Wentzville for over 15 years! Brian and team are extremely knowledgeable, honest and trustworthy. Fred's Automotive is the only place that I take my family's cars to get serviced and repaired.
Fred’s is a great shop that’s easy to get to from the hwy (right at the exit) and reasonably priced. We had some issues with our car and it took a few extra steps to get it right, but they stuck with it and were nothing but helpful and accommodating to our needs. Their store manger is very professional and knowledgeable as well as the rest of their staff.
My van is not just the taxi for my family of 6…but also often times my office as an entrepreneur. I was having trouble with a strange sound and feeling anytime I would turn. Fred’s not only fixed the problem in a timely manner, but was reasonably priced and had a friendly staff to work with. I’m thankful to have Fred’s for car care, and refer everyone and anyone to them when I can!
Had them fix some things in order to pass a safety’s inspection. They told us something that wasn’t failed on the inspection needed to be done, so we agreed. When I took it back to valvoline to get reinspected, the mechanic felt bad for me and informed me they totally upsold services, and that additional service was NOT needed (the additional service they told me I needed was 1200). On top of that, they did a new safety’s inspection and charged me for it, I didn’t ask for a new inspection, because valvoline reinspects it for free. I didn’t even know they had done the inspection until the mechanic at valvoline told me.. Fred’s is dishonest and sketchy I do not recommend and will not be back.
