Some of the best BBQ you’ll ever have. Ribs perfectly cooked, the St Louis Cuban was incredible, the brisket was exquisite. They have a whole wall dedicated to their awards from various BBQ contests. Service excellent. Wrt ribs, most restaurants serve them too dry largely because they take so long to cook. But an 11 am visit over the Xmas holidays resulted in perfectly juicy, meaty, fall-off-bone ribs with excellent flavor and not too oversauced. I will never order ribs from anywhere else again. Way to go, Heavy Smoke!
I am working here for 2 weeks and this is my 3rd visit. The sliced brisket is soooo tender, the ribs fall off the bone, and that pork steak!!!!! So tender I literally pulled the bone right out!! It's so thick big it's enough for 3 meals!!! The baked beans, loaded potato salad, and green beans are to die for!!!Haden took my order twice and he is awesome!! I have a five more days here and I plan to go back at least 3 more times!
Start off by saying they broke the unspoken cardinal bbq rule. *Never pre-sauce your product. Meat should be able to stand on its own without sauce, makes you suspect when comes pre-sauced… The ribs were perfectly cooked (fall off the bone), brisket was on the dry side and burnt ends were not very ‘burnt’. Recommend sides of creamy coleslaw, loaded potato salad and smoked beans. BBQ sauces sounded exotic (spicy pineapple, smoked apple, etc) but were really nothing special. Pricing to quality/quantity was average. Not the worst or best bbq I have had, average. As always, Tell’em OuttaTownTony sent you via Google Reviews!
Food was super tasty! 4 stars for service and atmosphere only because it's kinda cafeteria style dining. Which is cool. Great place for a large group or family dining. I had the brisket and the smoked jalapeno n cheese sausage with the baked beans and coleslaw. Sausage was my fav of those. I am a big guy and I was STUFFED. Great dinner!
Sorry, how does this place have such good reviews? The brisket was very dry, lacked flavor, no bark, no smoke. The ribs are decent, but nothing special. You can see from the meat that there's a serious lack of a smoke ring. The sauces were decent, but again, nothing stands out. I've had so much better bbq than this. The beans were very boring. Everything about this place just screams average.
