Five stars is not high enough. Derek has been my lawyer for over a year. I've had multiple problems open up at my feet and he has been able to handle them all. What I value most is that he doesn't say I'll take care of it and disappear.  He will take all the time necessary to answer questions and make you feel comfortable.  I don't trust people easily. Derek is so easy to talk to that I wasn't uncomfortable telling him about anything he needed to know. He holds your hand and walks you through all the twists and turns of the legal system.   He tirelessly fights for his clients and will do anything and everything to help them. What more can you ask for?

At first I thought I had finally found a lawyer that understood not just the law but the people he represented. I found out that as I went along not only did he care nothing for me and my case it was all just about dragging his feet and running up a tab. He would consistently lie about what he was going to do or file then later when it was not done try to say it was me that wasn't sure if I wanted to file that or do that and when I tried to fire him he threatened to withdrawal my case from the court if I did causing me to have to start all the way back at square one. So hire at your own risk and hopefully you have deep pockets cause you will be paying 2 to 3 times what this lawyer and his firm are worth. If I had it to do all over again I would not even consider this guy and spend my money on an actual good attorney.

HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! I have used this law firm twice the first time I dealt with Katherine with a family case and then I dealt with Derek on my criminal case. I thought that I was gonna be a felon on probation even jail time, I thought my life was ruined. Derek actually got my case thrown out in less than a month I was in shocked still am!! Not only did he get my keys thrown out and dismissed I got my bond back within a week. I would highly recommend this firm to anybody and everybody they work with you in payments and are there for you when you need them. He seriously saved my life, I can now have a career, I can vote own a firearm, a mother of 3 and a felon is not a great combination but he got it thrown out and completely over with in a month!! And Catherine helped me in a family case and got that dismissed/solved within a couple months.

Have a friend using this law firm for a divorce, was with Kathae Kaufman, who then left the firm and did not bother to contact her client in person to let her know what was going on and to invite her to go with her to the new firm. My friend was finally notified by mail and it's been basically a month if not more since ANYONE from the firm has contacted to let her know what is going on with her case. Very unprofessional in my opinion!
