Hello everyone. My father recently passed and as untimely as death is-the people at H/S made the process bare-able, as well as gave us a peace of mind that we were in good hands. Mrs Kimberly walked me and my sister through what we needed to do, and Courtney was a complete gem during the services. Playing music for us, helping ushering people in (and out lol) and leading us in the way things should go. At the burial, Eric (hearse driver) was awesome. Literally felt like he was one of us, and even helped carry my father to his resting place. Brother-I thank you so much for that. Courtney was very professional in the way she did things-of course as this is her job, BUT-we wanted to say thank you in it that when she spoke it wasn’t a robotic “sorry for your loss”, from her and Eric you could tell it was genuine. Officer Freeman was the reason we chose this place as he was a long term friend/co worker of my dads, and I’m so glad we did. From the Jenkins family and friends we thank you all for making this moment so memorable. -Jr

I can't say enough about the exceptional service my family received from Corey as we planned my brother's funeral with his sons. There were several of us present as we made the arrangements. Corey was patient, informative, and kind. His vast experience and attention to detail was greatly appreciated. In addition to helping us with plans, Corey was present during the visitation as well as the day of the funeral. He made sure everything went smoothly, which was extremely helpful the day of the funeral as it was pouring down rain. Despite the weather, everything went smoothly thanks to Corey. Thank you so much for everything!

Kim Thornton was wonderful. She was very professional yet compassionate. She made what is typically an awful experience a little bit easier to handle. The minister chosen was an excellent choice and didn't try to act like he knew my father personally. All paperwork has been handled and processed efficiently making it much easier for my family to deal with. I would highly recommend Hutchens-Stygar, and Kim Thornton, for your needs.

I realize that funeral homes are in the business of making tough times easier on people that have suffered a loss. All of the employees at Hutchens-Stygar went so far beyond my expectations I felt I needed to write this review. Three employees in particular need to be recognized. The gentleman named Tim Brahan, was very caring and respectful on the night of our loss. Our director Corey who, also caring and respectful, always answered his phone and offered great advice and direction, along with true compassion. And lastly Michelle, who on her own time, took steps to make sure our family had chance to have a lasting memory of our loved one. Its difficult to put into words how all these people helped us. I want them to know how much all their actions mean to our family. Thank-you!!!

Corey was fantastic during the entire process of planning my sister’s funeral service. He made the unpleasant task of planning the service easier. We should have made an appointment, but we did not have one and he welcomed us anyway. Not only was he great to deal with in planning, but he was very responsive to all of our requests in the days leading up to the service and even afterwards. The rest of the staff was great too. Corey was off work the day of the actual service. I cannot remember the name of the staff member that was working that day, but she was wonderful to deal with as well. I highly recommend Hutchens-Stygar!
