We met with Mr. Hoff to prepare tax returns for two (2) calendar years. When we arrived to pick-up both returns we were advised that only one (1) return was prepared. When questioning front desk personnel about the other return, she insisted that we did not provide paperwork the missing tax year. She brooked no discussion that they're office could have possibly misplaced our paperwork. We left the office without either return since we didn't trust the competence of the staff. Mr. Hoff's office called us immediately after we left only to advise that they located the "missing" paperwork but suggested that it was somehow our fault that the tax return wasn't prepared for failure to provide them with a W-2. The W-2 in question was emailed directly to Mr. Hoff one (1) week earlier as he requested but apparently, they lost that document as well. This office is one of the most disorganized and unprofessional places of business that we have encountered in recent memory. If you use this office for tax preparation be prepared for incompetence and unprofessionalism at the highest level. Unbelievable!!!!

This guy is careless and it doesn't seem to bother him at all. Unfortunately for us, our previous tax man retired. Hoff did our taxes this year. First problem was when he was going to deny our QCD deductions. When we pointed out they were both 501 (c) 3 charitable organizations, his comment was, "I guess I should have read further". Today we got an email from him stating that the returns had been filed and the Fed refund would be direct deposited in our checking account. The next paragraph stated the Mo. refund would be mailed to us. WHAT?????????? We have never had our refunds mailed; that only gives the government more time to delay the refund. Add the wretched US mail service and we will be lucky to get our refund by Christmas. Thank God there are plenty of tax preparers; we chose the wrong one.

John has been doing my taxes for over 30 years. He is friendly, fair, and accurate! I have always received the best service and have never encountered any problem whatsoever. I highly recommend him. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my tax preparation needs!

7-11-2022 is my first appointment with Mr Hoff. He is polite and very professional. He was knowledgeable regarding advice on some serious tax questions. I felt comfortable with instructions concerning the direction for future decisions. Actually he saved us a lot of future grief. Thanks Mr Hoff.

I found them on the Internet and scheduled a meeting to review my company / personal tax returns from the prior years and talk to them about my current company tax situation. I scheduled through email and quickly got a response back. (I had emailed a couple places and this is the only one that actually returned my email). I scheduled a time to meet with them. When I arrived, I met with John Hoff and we discussed my current situation and what he needed to take over my taxes and help me with other financial needs. I must say that I was very impressed and that he has made the transition very simple and easy and I feel full confidence in his services and vast knowledge about finances. Everyone I have met there has been extremely helpful and polite. If anyone still needs to get their taxes done, or needs advise for their business this is definitely a phone call you need make.
