Dr. Melander is a great surgeon. He listened to me and my concerns. He wanted to see me off the walker i was using due to my arthritis swollen knees. I followed every recommended procedure and always he and staff was on top of it. Total knee replacement is no joke and you have to have the best possible recovery and outcome that follows. I feel very safe and respected by him. Great doctor to have. Sonya H.

Worst experience I've ever had with a doctor. Dr. Melander brimming with confidence prior to your surgery - he knows exactly what he'll do to fix you, communicates it like it's a piece of cake. After you wake up, everything changes. I received mixed messaging from the first conversation after surgery. First it was a successful surgery with debridement because the MRI was wrong about there being a labral tear. Then suddenly 2 months post surgery he talked about the "large tear" he remembers fixing. Now I have to find out from the office manager that the tear was inoperable because that's not something relevant for Dr. Melander or his PA to tell the patient themselves. Dr. Melander won't give you the time of day. He walked out of my appointment mid-sentence for no apparent reason and with no explanation. Please reconsider using him and go to a doctor who cares. Editing to respond to owner comment - I would love to have the opportunity to speak to the president. I am seeking a second opinion as recommended by Advanced Bone and Joint, and I am just looking to gain clarity on what made my labral tear inoperable so I can pass this to a new surgery team. Information about this is not present in my medical records and was never discussed with me by your staff. I look forward to the conversation Edit 2 - It's been 1.5 weeks since attempting to accept the offer below of speaking with the CEO of the company and I still have not heard anything. Maybe they're busy, or maybe they respond to google reviews in this way to make people think they are interested in helping people.

Very disrespectful of people time, he showed up on time had time to listen to me prior to surgery but come the post op appointment and he was 45 minutes and rushed me through it, maybe he spent 3 minutes in the room with me. I left work to come see him instead i waisted my time waiting, then when the far from professional nurse comes in to schedule me for the next appointment and i asked her how can i avoid delays like this, she responded full of attitude to schedule and early appointment. My appointment was at 940 so i asked "how much earlier"? She said 830 which is a joke. There's a 45 minute delay in this hour advancement?? How in the world do they schedule these appointments? You try and show up late to your appointment and see what happens to you, you either get rescheduled or they'll make u wait until god knows when. It's like their time is priceless but your time is worthless. This is what i call disrespectful and unprofessional

I have seen this Dr twice in the last three years for fractures of my greater tuberosity bone and each time I called his office I was seen by him within 24 hrs. Very efficient staff and concern was shown in a very professional manner. Dr Melander is also very professional and quickly diagnoses what the problem is and has a solution for your treatment and post care. I would highly recommend him and his staff for your orthopedic needs.

I wouldn't see anyone but Dr Melander for orthopedic. He was referred by another doctor and I have been extremely happy with him. He has done surgery on my shoulder and a knee replacement. It is fairly easy to get an appointment, sometimes a longer wait once there, but her is worth it!
