The people are polite but totally inept at customer service and using their technologies to get printing done. I highly recommend you drive to Chesterfield for all your office supply needs. They simply are very very poor.

The guys were very helpful and even stayed past closing to help me find what I needed.
On my most recent visit I needed help getting coupons printed from my email and one of the managers Rhonda went out of her way to help me print the coupons and even walked the store with me to help me make sure I got all the correct items. I was so shocked because no one gives service like this anymore unless they are working on commission.

I wish I had the same great experience other reviewers have had, but I have had so many bad experiences with poor customer service that I will no longer shop here. Today was the last straw. I stood in line forever, as I usually do, because there was a computer problem or something with the shopper in front of me. This seems to happen frequently when coupons or discounts are involved. The manager was called, and the cashier told me she would be right with me. But when the manager did come to fix the computer problem, the cashier ignored me to run over and help another customer who had walked up to a closed register. I wish I had a dollar for every time something like that has happened at this store! Maybe there are some strange gamma waves or something in the store that causes me to become invisible. Fortunately, I was headed to Walmart afterwards anyway, and--to my delight--they had my ink cartridges in stock and for a lower price. I was treated courteously and was in and out in no time! (And evidently no gamma rays.) So goodbye Cottleville OfficeMax!

Update - We went back today and Ryan the manager greeted us helped us above and beyond and we got what we needed. The night before must have been a fluke and be cause of Ryan we will continue to be customers. (Prior night experience just for reference, it not the mistakes it is how you handle them and Ryan exceeded our expectations) Went in and looked at furniture for a new office. We didn't see a single employee for the entire time we looked through all of the furniture. Finally we went to the front to see if we could find someone and after waiting for a bit the young lady from the copy center came over. She called someone on her radio and we went back to wait again to buy the furniture. After waiting a while longer we decided to just leave. We walked by the employees and not a single word so we will go find a desk elsewhere.

After looking online, Amazon and the direct manufacturer for a very small item with not a lot of description, I called customer service at this Office Max location. The gentleman on the other line could have just said sorry I don't know but instead he asked someone who did, was prompt, courteous and patient. While they didn't have the exact item I was looking for, I'm thankful for the time they put into such a small request, and will definitely think about this location the next time I am looking for office supplies. Great customer service.
