Stopped in for a late lunch on a Friday. Not too busy, quickly ordered my pork sandwich with potato salad and baked beans. In no time at all, I was enjoying my lunch. Pork was tender, smoke flavor to let you know it's really good bbq. Sides were good too. This location is nice, clean, and plenty of seating inside and outside. It may not be the cheapest place to stop for lunch, but it's sure good! I'll be back!

Visiting from out of town, we had to try Pappy's Smokehouse. We were not disappointed!
My wife and I both ordered the Half Slab of what Food TV (appropriately) declared to be the best Ribs in America. We chose to make our orders a Combo, each of us adding 1/4 of another meat. I added the Beef Brisket, very flavorful, and my wife added the Burnt Ends (which she allowed me to try and which were) moist and very tasty.
The Ribs were perfect in tenderness and in taste. Our friends ordered the BBQ Salad and the Smoked Chicken Sandwich and loved their dishes.
I had the potato salad and vinegar-based cole slaw and my wife tried the fire and ice pickles and the Fried corn on the cob. The potato salad looks like it has a mustard-mayo base, but did not have any prominent mustard flavor. The acidity of the slaw is the perfect counterbalance to the (not excessive) fat of the barbecued meat. The fire and ice pickles have a nice, not overpowering, sweet heat. I've never tried fried corn Lb the cob before, so am not a good judge of that. It's worth a try to decide for yourself what you think.
There is a line to get a table, as expected, but the line moved well. The earlier you arrive, the better, as some choices may eventually run out.
The atmosphere is upbeat and that of a BBQ place, with rock/ guitar blues type music playing. The service was excellent. Unlimited Coke fountain drink refills and other bottles sodas, as well as beer, offered.
We will return to Pappy's every time we visit St. Louis! So do yourself a favor and try Pappy's Smokehouse. You'll be glad that you did.

Great experience. If you enjoy tender, flavorful barbecue, this is the place to go to. Friendly staff helped keep the line moving. Very clean dining room. Large pulled pork sandwich, slaw and potato salad for one and a large burnt ends sandwich with green beans and the fire and ice pickles. Both meats were so tender. If you like pickles. I definitely recommend these. I had to stop myself from eating all of them that came with my platter. Each table was supplied with several choices of sauces. We tried small amounts of each before deciding the sandwiches were flavorful enough, we didn't need any sauce.
Staff periodically made rounds to check on patrons while constantly cleaning. This is definitely the place to go if you are in the mood for great food.

Most most most excellent ribs!
I didn’t wanna try the sauces because I thought, it would ruin it!
At first I was poking it with a plastic fork, later on … like my two neighbors…just picked it up and yummm fingers licking good!
Carry out the pickle and the green bean!
I thought I was being sensible and not to stuffed myself, by the time to got to Springfield, I wish I had bought two full racks and take with me for the road!
Will be back for sure

I was sad the original location had a huge line.
I still wanted some Pappys, and this locatiom was still pretty good. They don't have fried corn! I was pretty disappointed cause that's what I was looking forward to having...cause the other location has it.
The meats were good though and I got a sweet tie dye shirt!
