Paid $100 for a 10 second video call to tell me water heater was cracked. Refused to give me a detailed breakdown/report for repair costs. Told me I needed to pay for the repairs on site and then would get an invoice detailing repair costs. Would not work with my insurance company in any capacity.

Tyler from Pipe Solutions came to check my hot water heater. He did a great job and found a leak along with the unit being very old. Took pix and said he’d turn it in to his company. He was on time, pleasant and answered my questions. He returned the next week at the time I was told he’d be here with my new water heater. Did a great job installing it. Cleaned up any mess he made. I was so pleased with his promptness, his professionalism, and his knowledge. Before leaving he explained everything I needed to know. I would use Tyler (and Pipe Solutions) in a second if the need arose again.

Tyler was amazing. Extremely professional. He was prompt and on time. He ensured I understood what the issue was with my water heater and what was needed for repair. It took a while for the part to come in but that is no fault of Tyler’s or the company.

The service technician came to inspect my water heater. He was actually a little early but that was fine. A piece broke so I’ll need a new water heater.
Should take a couple of days
to hear from American Home Shield about the replacement.

I found this review along with the owners response on Google which was spot on with my experience. Neither the place of business nor the home warranty company (HSA) would furnish the repairs to be made or the breakdown of the cost. I was told by this company I’d have to get the info from HSA. HSA informed me I would have to get it from the company. Pretty shady on both sides. The only reason I didn’t give a worse review was the installers took time to answer questions I had. So a water heater that was supposed to be covered cost me $1105 out of pocket. I still don’t know why!! Didn’t even get a bill of sale saying it was a new water heater.

Cristian, We are sorry you did not have the best experience with us and your warranty company. Unfortunately we are not able to change their procedures.
However, when working with warranty companies, these are the policies we do have to follow. The $100 was paid to your warranty company for a service call which is standard for every visit. We do make it easier on the home owner when we can do a virtual visit, this is done specifically to save you time from having to wait for a plumber. Once we diagnose the issue, we turn in the report to your home warranty company and wait for their decision. Per your contract with the warranty company and ours, we are not allowed to discuss a break down in pricing. We understand how inconvenient this can be, and we do sympathize with you on this. Your home warranty company should be able to give you a break down of what you are paying for and Pipe Solutions is able to give you a list. What and how much you are paying for is determined by your contract with the warranty company. As far as working with your home insurance company, we do not work with any additional 3rd party insurance companies. In most cases, the work would be completed and then you would turn in your invoice to your insurance company for reimbursement. We would be happy to go over other solutions for you if you would like.”
