My 6 month old water heater was making a funny noise like a toilet tank filling, i heard it on my old one before i replaced it, that one was 12 yrs old, i thought it was a normal noise water heaters made when filling, but since this one was only a few months old the noise was louder than my old one i called the manufacturer, they walked me through some things on the phone, and then gave me # of local warranty provider, i called these guys got the receptionist, she scheduled me an appt, for the next day!!! yeah!! the gentleman called ahead, showed up on time, well i wasn't even really given a time, because i didn't care i was here all day, just wanted a rough estimate of time, they said after the job he is on now, thats when he called and said he was on his way, explained the difference in elements to me and their function, and how the stock one's are cheap and because i live in wright city and have hard water the direct replacement would be noisy again. so he talked me into some upgraded ones with a better material, something about low watt density. and it sure is quiet now, he claims the elements will now outlast the heater, we shall see, but nonetheless it was a quick quality thorough job, and i highly recommend these guys. didn't charge much for the upgraded elements or i would not have bough them, its a brand new unit under warranty. Water Heater was installed July 29th of this Year and it is a State commercial grade, good heater, good warranty, (AO Smith) but look at my elements already that he took out, after only a short time.
Can't say enough about this company. I tried to get several companies to help me correct a problem created by some doofis pretending to be a plumber. Rippelmeyer was the only one that would help. Lady I talked to was nicer than your grandmother on your birthday. Not only did they help, they went out of their normal travel zone to come help. The tech was the nicest dude on the planet and knew more about plumbing than I do about how to make your wife angry. Which is a lot.. He fixed the problem lickety-split. Then- they barely charged me a dang thing. Super people, super company. Highly recommend. He also drove a GMC which makes him smarter than the average bear.
Whirlpool gave me their name and number because they were one of their approved service providers. I contacted them they asked for additional information that I e-mailed to them and I never heard back.
