They did an absolutely phenomenal job. Whenever I had a question Ryan was more then happy to answer any and all that I had. When there was a delay due to parts Ryan and the general manager both called to keep me informed WITHOUT ME ASKING. I HIGHLY recommend them over ANY OTHER SHOP AND THE PAIT WAS SPOT ON FLAWLESS…..2022 R/T
The BEST staff and service I have interacted with in a very long time. I was recently in a collision and went to Schaefer with lots of questions and looking for both advice and help. Holly and Michael are so incredible! They made really great recommendations and answered all my questions patiently. I’d say they truly went out of their way to help me with my car, in record time too. Michael had extremely helpful advice for me, which I really needed. What I appreciated most about my experience here is- in addition to their technical efficiency and knowledge, their kindness, and intent and approach to help me out. Especially Holly! I absolutely love her!! And I’m sure you will too. Coming out of the collision feeling extremely unsettled, wary and not knowing what to do next, the Schaefer team did a superlative job of attending to my needs and making sure I get all the help I can. I've been using Schaefer for over 10 years. I've always had a great experience with them until recently. I brought my vehicle to them for repairs after an accident. When I got the vehicle back, the front lane departure system was not working an had an error light on. The work they did was to the front bumper, that houses that sensor. They told me, "We're not saying it's not our fault but.....". I told them that would be a statistical anomaly that the sensor went out at the exact same time they did work around it. Then they refused to make the repair. They didn't bill the insurance company for it and now it would come out of their pocket. It seems this is likely the reason they wouldn't fix it. Pretty shocking from a company with a good reputation. I will never use Schaefer Autobody again. They've lost a lifetime customer. I work in the insurance industry and will not refer our clients to them going forward and will let them know why we recommend going elsewhere. Schaefer, if you read this and want to make it right, I'm willing to share an update that you did the right thing.
This is my second time using Schaefer. Our first was to get our old van paint job freshened up from years of kid taxi duty and parking lot dings. That was a remarkable outcome. This time they were on the State Farm list of approved repair shops. They worked directly with the rental car company to make sure I was picked up immediately. The service writer walked me through the inspection and following process. The repair was excellent (rear bumper pictures) and quick. Good communication and very ethical. This is a great place to get your ride back in shape whether from a mishap or to fix years of age.
Just an awful experience attempting to get an estimate from this company. We called and then had to leave a message. A day later we got a call back and made an appointment for an estimate. We went in and completed the estimate. Schaefer Auto Body was to complete the estimate and provide it to the insurance company. Two weeks later the insurance company complains they do not have the estimate. We call Schafer and are told the estimate pictures are blurry so they did not do an estimate. Nor did they tell anyone. They did say they can just make up an estimate and send it the company. We have now wasted precious time and if they cannot handle an estimate correctly how will they do with body work? I do not trust them based upon my experience trying to get an estimate. Maze was wonderful in the day. Things sure have changed.
