I joined St. Peter's Crossfit over a year ago. I had recently moved to St. Charles and was sorely missing my old crossfit gym. After a 3 month recovery from a major muscle injury I decided to look into joining a local gym and getting back on track with my personal fitness. I looked into all different kinds of gym memberships but knew I wanted to be back at crossfit. I initially settled on trying out Saint Peter's crossfit because it was close to my new residence and it was the only Crossfit gym in the area at the time that offered a great Groupon deal for a one month of unlimited crossfit classes. (FYI: They still offer these great deals on Groupon... just saying). I really loved my old crossfit gym and had a hard time believing I would find a similar gym where I felt comfortable working out and feeling like the members were part of a family not just a gym. But after my month trial through the groupon at Saint Peter's crossfit I started to believe again. Coach David was so welcoming and supported. I told him about my crossfit history and my injury and he help me to not only modify my workouts but make me feel ok about where my body was at the time. As I continued going to classes I continued to meet different coaches and different athletes and learned to love this gym as much as I loved my last gym. St. Peter's has helped me grow in confidence, ability, and determination. The environment is remarkable. They are friendly, kind, and supportive. Each coach has their own style and they all ensure that athletes are doing their very best. They're safe, instructive, and friendly. They answers questions, help you understand confusing workouts and crossfit lingo, and make sure your form and movements are safe and correct so you can improve, grown, and become an overall better athlete. I love going to St. Peter's Crossfit and even after moving to Winfield, Mo I still make the drive as often as I can so I can come and workout with all the amazing coaches and great athletes/members in a fun, motivative, supportive environment. I highly recommend St. Peter's Crossfit. They supportive all levels of athletes from beginner to elite and help you modify or amp up each workout to what works best for you. Don't think though, that they won't push you out of your comfort zone..... but thats a thing, because it means they believe in you and want you to do your very best so you can become the best athlete you can be. I know, because it's what they have done for me and continue to do. They will do it for you too!!!
I can't recommend this gym enough. After getting back into exercising consistently this is a great place to continue to grow as an athlete. I am never bored here and I know that all I have to do is show up for a class and I will get a great workout. All of the workouts are able to modified for different levels of fitness. Since I started here in January I have gotten stronger and increased my knowledge of proper form and technique. The coaches are knowledgeable and are always giving tips for proper form and for modifications as needed. There are a lot of things I am continuing to work on and the coaches help to give advice on how to reach my goals. The owner, David Simon, is very personable and welcoming. If you are looking for a positive and fun place to workout, definitely check out St. Peters CrossFit.
Love this gym!!! The owner David took time out of his day to meet with me and show me around the gym and all the equipment. This place is the definition of family and friends. The atmosphere is fun with people to always push and motivate you. The workouts are challenging but yet so fun. David and the other trainers do a great job at giving alternative exercises if unable to do the workout. I love this gym because it’s a family and everyone is so friendly!
St Peter's CrossFit is the best decisions that I have ever made. The coaches are very professional, the weightlifting coach Eric is very good, I learned a lot from him. The owner of the gym is wonderful. I go there about six times a week, I feel great and alive!!! I am very happy that I joined this gym. I rather pay the CrossFit membership than paying the medical bills. I want to thank the owner have this nice place for us to do CrossFit!
I have been with SPCF for almost 3 years. After moving to the area, I wanted to continue my CrossFit journey. I was fortunate to meet David and his team at St Peters CrossFit. The community that they have created is very welcoming and the coaches understand that everyone has different levels of ability or limitations, which can change from day to day. If you have never been to a CrossFit gym, or even a gym, it can be intimidating at first; but the hard part is walking in the door (I never went to a gym prior to CrossFit). But you'll quickly feel involved with a community that are working to make themselves a little better every day.
