Sucks to read about the other reviews because we had a totally different experience. Our 8 mo old daughter was showing cold symptoms for a few days, so we took her to Urgent Care for Kids; her doctor couldn’t get her in, and they were the only urgent care that was open later and their hours worked perfectly with work schedules. We got there around 6:30 and the waiting room was empty, so we got lucky in that aspect. Upon arrival, we were greeted with one of the nicest receptionists, and she explained everything thoroughly. The paperwork process was easy (filled out on an iPad and there were only about 6 pages or so to fill out) and she took our insurance card and ID. She ran everything, we paid a reasonable co pay, and waited for about 10 mins before we were called back. The medical assistant was super sweet, happy and so gentle with our daughter. She offered and asked if we wanted to do a whole panel of tests to rule everything out just to be safe. The NP was also super sweet, straight forward and gave us good advice. The next night, they called us to check in on our daughter and gave us an update on the culture that was sent off, and said they would call as soon as they got those results back. The next morning, they called and gave us the test results along with follow up instructions. This is our second urgent care that we’ve taken our daughter to, and it was 10x better than the SSM urgent care we took her to a few months ago…our questions were answered, and our nerves were put at ease, and we left feeling like something was accomplished. We’ll definitely be bringing her back here again, and can only Hope & Pray that we and others receive the same care and have just as good of an experience as this first time!

I never ever leave reviews. This is actually probably one of my first. But I just had to say how much I APPRECIATE and loved this urgent care. Our first time and my son was basically inconsolable. It was 7:30pm and I had no where else to take him and I was desperate so after a google search we went immediately. My son was losing his mind and nothing could calm him. I was completely frazzled. But they were all so quick and friendly and just really took the time to help us out and wait on us immediately. They even gave my son some Motrin right then and there to help him calm down and help his fever. Ended up leaving with a double ear infection and some meds. And then I ended up having to call them and have them send to a different pharmacy and they immediately did no problems. I’m so thankful for the staff there and for turning our night around. I’ll definitely be back with any future things my kids have!

I was expecting it to cost a fortune just like other Urgent Cares but it was my doctor copay but you cannot beat the evening and weekend hours! We are so grateful to have such an amazing place in Wentzville to help when needed!! Thank you for the amazing care!!

I am extremely disappointed in our experience at Urgent Care for Kids. My 5-year-old is very sick, and today, December 24th, we tried to bring her in for care. We attempted to seek care despite some challenges. She is covered through the VA, but we have been experiencing delays in receiving the physical insurance card, so we cannot verify she has insurance at the moment. We were essentially refused treatment despite the promise on their website: “We believe all children deserve the best health care. If the child is not insured or is underinsured, or if the insurance deductible is too high, we will work with you to arrange a convenient payment plan.”
Previously, I spoke to someone at this location on Dec. 14th, who said they could see her with an $80 upfront payment. However, today the receptionist not only denied this but was incredibly hostile, going so far as to essentially accuse us of lying. She claimed they have never offered payment plans—directly contradicting their own website and information I was previously given.
This treatment was appalling, and their refusal to honor their stated commitment to children’s health is unacceptable. Parents deserve honesty and compassion when seeking care for their children, not dismissiveness and hostility.

I took my daughter here to get help for pain she was experiencing. TAUC was full so I felt this was my next best option. When it was time to be seen, they asked for my insurance which I gave them and was supposed to have a $75 co-pay. The receptionist kept telling me that it wasn’t going through and I was giving her the wrong member ID. I ended up calling insurance and they said what I was giving them was correct. The receptionist refused to listen even with them on speaker saying it was correct. She told me I had to pay the full amount or couldn’t be seen but assured me that the owner would call me and work everything out. My daughter was in pain so I just said whatever and paid it, but of course no one called me to follow up about it and never got my money back. This was a year ago, however, From what I’ve heard from multiple people, this is a common practice so I think it’s important to warn others.
