We originally placed an order online for living room furniture, then we decided to go into the store to make sure that we liked what we purchased. We are so glad that we did! The furniture that we chose online was not at all comfortable. Leah was amazing at helping us find exactly what we were looking for. She was super friendly, not pushy at all, and made sure we got an amazing price. She is definitely an asset to Value City Furniture and we will be sure to recommend our friends to her!
The selection here was great, and I found a couch that I wanted at a reasonable price. However, the delivery experience is horrible and in no way acceptable. Ordering at the beginning of January and being given 6 weeks as a delivery date, only to get a call to be informed that it would be three more weeks. How is that acceptable? At this point, I expect another call to let me know it's a month away.
So far so good. Bought our furniture but have not had it delivered yet. Our salesperson Angie was helpful but not overbearing. Hopefully the great experience will extend after delivery? Now is the update! We purchased our 5 pieces of furniture in Aug 2020. It was partially delivered in Oct. After 3 more cancellations and deliveries we finally got everything. 3 items were damaged. Again after several delivery/ cancellations, 2 items were replaced by Jan. Since then we have had 4 attempted deliveries of the last damaged piece ( dresser). Every one was unacceptable. I called to get my $ back. They're putting stipulations on the pick up. If i cancel on them for any reason there will be a charge. We paid upon purchase and they will not refund us until they have their damaged furniture .I offered to leave it outside to get at their convenience. This is an issue? ( it junk anyways). There is absolutley no customer service after they get payment, only company policy. I requested to speak with a upper management personnel, and was told it too was against company policy. I would not recommend this company or location to anyone in the future. One service representative promised to call back and did not .Another hung up on me ! Very unprofessional and childish. Buyer beware! Value City is a middle man. They do not have the product on hand. You will be required to wait and will be at the mercy of unprofessional service from everyone after your purchase. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a business. If or when we finally receive our furniture that was paid for 8 months ago, I think a visit to the St Peters store to inform potential customers to think twice before shopping there could be an option! Google review is very helpful to the public, but in person information on a bad company is so much more effective
I was helped with my purchase by Angela and later by Leia. I couldn't be happier with the experience. They were both very helpful, which made the visit all the better. I would happily recommend anyone in need of furniture to go to Value City Furniture. I know I'll be back!
We recently went here for our new living room furniture. Chris was an amazing help from the time we walked in the door! He is very knowledgeable on what they have in the store and also with the financial part of things! Our experience was awesome and we will definitely return for our future furniture needs.
