Vanity Hair Studio has taken fantastic care of my hair for the past 3 years. Michelle does a wonderful job and I would not hesitate to recommend her services to anyone. They are conveniently located and have a very open schedule to accommodate my needs.
I have only taken my daughter to a couple of hair stylists over the years but this had to be the worst experience I've had by far. The stylist Summer was 15 minutes late showing up for the 10:30 am appointment. The lady that was there said she is late "all the time". She assured me she could get everything done on. Her hair in 3 hours. I was very specific and firm that I needed to be somewhere by 1:30. My daughters volleyball game to be specific. When I came back at 1:15 she was just starting to color her hair. She did not finish the coloring until 2:00. My daughter was in tears because she had missed the game. The stylist felt no remorse and was even snotty when I complained. The whole staff felt like it was no big deal to be late or treat the customer poorly. They didn't even want to give out the owners name and number until I told them I would not pay until they gave it to me. They wouldn't get the owners on the phone or even try. Horrible people in general. I would never refer this place to anyone. Horrible customer service!

If I could give the owner negative stars and the hairdresser that did the work 5 stars, I would! My daughter had a gift certificate that had no expiration date, was for first time customer only, and had no other info specifying any rules to follow. She made the appointment and told her hairdresser that she had the certificate. When the hairdresser took it to the owner, the owner went to my daughter and treated her like garbage, practically yelling at her in the salon that she couldn't use the gift certificate because she had to have made her appointment with the owner only (again, this was not specified!) and that it was old (again, no expiration date) and wanted to know where she got it (from her high school graduation lock in as a raffle gift). She accused my daughter of giving her sass even though my daughter was the customer. Although the owner did wind up honoring the certificate, the treatment that she received was inexcusable and I will make sure that everyone I know in the STL/St Charles/St Peters/O'Fallon area knows this and does not visit this salon! Very sorry for the girl who did her hair, she was nice, did a great job, and never treated my daughter badly.
