    Went to Lowe’s today looking for a 240V breaker as mine was faulty. I had multiple pictures of the breaker I needed. I asked for help and was handed off 3 times before one of the staff told me they couldn’t help me and I might burn my house down. The staff member they told me knew about electrical wouldn’t even look at the pictures I had. He Just acted like I didn’t know what I was doing. “Call an electrician” he said. I left Lowe’s and went to Home Depot where I was helped immediately by one woman who knew what I needed. I’ve since replaced the breaker and everything is fixed. No electrician needed. Spend your money elsewhere.

    Emile and Dana at Lowe’s st.Charles great customer service with. Return some floor tile no receipt,but did have credit card to search for receipt. Gave me a full refund very happy.

    My wife and I have had quite a journey with this Lowe’s trying to buy a storm door. Overall it was pretty easy to swipe our card at the beginning but in the end they couldn’t get it right so we ended up totally refunding. At the end of September 2023 we purchased a storm door and install. It was to go on our back door which is 32 inches wide. Additionally we need a left hinge / right hand door. The installer is through Summit and they sent someone out to measure our door. We weren’t home when they measured which we thought was fine at the time but they measured the front door which is 36 inches wide. They got the 36 inch wide door ordered and once it came in attempted to install it on the back which of course didn’t work. Summit then put an order in for a 32 inch wide door. Once that door came in it was the wrong hinge side so again they returned it and reordered it again. This happened a third time and after that we requested a refund for the install and ordered the door we wanted (32 inch left hinge). Once the door was ready for us to pick up we get the door and guess what it is? 32 inch right hinge. It’s at this moment when I realized that it wasn’t Summit’s fault for our issues but rather whoever is placing the orders for the storm doors is putting the wrong orders in. I’m not sure if they don’t realize that the hinge side matters or if they just don’t get what it means so they pick whatever shows up first. It is now the beginning of January 2024. We returned the door after the fourth attempt and requested a refund. They charged us an $89 “restocking” fee and refunded our money. It is quite ridiculous how they charged us a restocking fee after they messed up the door order four times. We will not be back to this store and recommend to anyone who goes here to only buy things that don’t have to be ordered.

    UPDATE: 3/4/24 Other store was able to handle my problem. They offered me the STORE CREDIT which I was eligible to get it based on the Lowes and Kobalt's return authorization number/reference number. Store representative and his reporting manager even tried checking if my item is available in other stores and was able to find it to help me. They went one mile extra to provide what you call a "right customer satisfaction". St. Charles location (this) simply told me that your return authorization/warranty is voided just because the item I had is no longer available in stock. How bad this sounds? I will stick to the reviews and star I had posted originally. Customer service denied store credit or exchange despite the return authorization received from the Lowe’s customer service department. Putting their internal system issues on to the customers head.
