Went in looking for wire to hang a picture with and some pallet shelves to make a closet. First employee we found and asked correctly directed us to the exact spot where the photo hangers were. We ended up buying 8 foot ends for our palate shelf, and when we got him home. Realized that they also come in other sizes and the other size that we had previously bought with 6 foot. Which fit these didn't? When we returned them to the store, they made it very easy to just swap them out and the lady at the service desk took care of selling us the new ones and exchanging the old ones on the same ticket. So now we have the correct size and everything is good.
Awful customer service mainly by General Manager Mr. Taylor. I was assured they would deliver a barn I ordered and therefore placed the order (delivery was essential as I do not have any way of picking up all the materials for a barn). Prior to the delivery, the driver called and stated he looked at Google images and determined the road was rural and not something he was comfortable driving and was afraid he would damage his truck. I informed him several times the neighborhood is cleared and no longer looks like the old images. The road is a very well-maintained gravel road, and I have very recently had many larger vehicles deliver horses etc. with no problems. Driver refused, I spoke with Mr. Taylor who advised he could not help me and my options were to either cancel the order or haul the barn myself. Leaving me with no other choice than to cancel, he then advised he would keep 25 percent as a restocking fee because I cancelled the order..... He was extremely rude and after I contacted BBB and Attorney Generals office, he lied to the Menards legal department about what happened. I am out a lot of money. This company is a joke, non-existing customer service and since this is the way the General Manager handles customers, I highly recommend people to go to other companies who will treat their customers with respect instead of stealing their money.
From the moment you enter the store, it’s clear: Menards stands a cut above the rest. From the fluorescent glow of the lighting department, an unparalleled selection of high quality construction materials, to the diverse array of food staples (for both humans and pets alike), Menards has it all. However, much more than this, it’s the employees that truly push Menards into a league of its own among home improvement stores. During my most recent visit I had some difficulty finding a very niche seasonal item. Without me having to say a word, an outstanding employee from the online order pickup department who happened to be passing by, CJ, sensed my confusion and asked if there was anything I needed help finding. Without hesitation he expertly navigated the store, directing me to the precise location of the item I was looking for at a speed that left me baffled. It’s this combination of unparalleled multidisciplinary service, an aptitude for excellence, and an unyielding devotion to the customer experience that finds me coming back to Menards time and time again. Thank you to CJ, and thank you to the others that make up the excellent team that run this store. It’s experiences such as this that make me proud to say I’m from Saint Louis.
Typically love shopping at Menards locations and am able to find a great selection. This location lacked selection. Empty shelves everywhere. Plants looked half dead and not well taken care of.
I never take Menards up when they ask if I need help loading well today I did. Tristan was there in a flash with a smile on his face to help! He is a great kid and awesome help!
