1. Big Woody’s BBQ

Located at 1821 Zumbehl Road in St. Charles, Big Woody’s is a family-owned operation. They smoke their meat fresh everyday. Pulled pork, brisket, pulled chicken and ribs are always on the menu. Daily specials include items like a Pulled Pork Cuban, Brunswick Stew, or chili. For a different take on hush puppies, try their “world famous hog balls.” Open Monday through Saturday, they offer signature sandwiches, platters, ribs and sides from 11 a.m. until they sell out.

2. Sugarfire Smoke House

Sugarfire Smoke House is located at 3150 Elm Point Industrial Drive in St. Charles. Their extensive menu includes pulled pork, brisket, turkey, ribs, sausage, and daily specials. 4. Duke’s BBQ

Located at 100 Ash Street in downtown historic Wentzville, Duke’s offers dine-in, carryout and curbside service. Appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers, ribs, platters, family specials, and a kid’s menu offer plenty of options for the entire family. Duke’s also provides catering services for large and small events including weddings. Duke’s is open Tuesday-Saturday from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.

5. 1798 BBQ

Located at 5210 Highway N in historic Cottleville, MO, 1798 BBQ has an extensive menu with pulled pork, brisket, ribs, pulled chicken, burgers, and desserts. Many of their recipes are family favorites including Mom’s banana pudding and Grandma Brewer’s “cornbread corn.” Why is it called 1798 BBQ? 1798 is the year Captain Warren G. Cottle secured a land grant from the Spanish in what is now known as Cottleville, Missouri. 1798 BBQ is open Tuesday-Sunday for lunch and dinner.

6. His & Hers BBQ

His & Hers BBQ offers a wide selection of BBQ meats and ribs. With appetizers, salads, sandwiches, wings and homemade desserts, there is something for everyone on their extensive menu. Did we mention homemade desserts? Try the His & Hers Double Delicious – peach cobbler topped with banana pudding! Located at 2449 Hwy K in O’Fallon, MO, His & Hers is open Tuesday-Saturday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. or until they sell out.

7. Lil’ Mickey’s Memphis Barbeque 

Lil’ Mickey’s is a small dine-in, take-out and catering restaurant that has been serving Memphis style BBQ for over 15 years. All of their meats are smoked low and slow (ribs, pulled pork beef brisket, chicken and turkey) and served wet or dry. Located at 1020 Caves Spring Blvd. in St. Peters, Lil’ Mickey’s is open Tuesday-Sunday. They frequently sell out, so get there early for the best selection.

8. Stumpy’s House of Bar-B-Que

Stumpy’s has been serving delicious BBQ since 2005. They dry rub their meat, then slow-cook it over seasoned hickory wood. Stumpy’s offers three sauces: original, smoky, and hot. Located at 632 Jungermann Road in St. Peters, MO, they offer dine-in, carryout, delivery or catering options for both lunch and dinner. 

9. Pappy’s Smokehouse

St. Charles BBQ lovers rejoiced when Pappy’s opened their second location across from Mid Rivers Mall at 5246 N. Service Road in St. Peters. Pappy’s is famous for their award winning ribs. They have a full BBQ menu with pulled pork, smoked chicken, beef brisket, and more. Dine-in, carryout, curbside pickup and catering available. Open Wednesday-Sunday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Salt + Smoke is located at 501 S. Main Street in historic St. Charles. They offer appetizers, salads, sandwiches, combination plates and desserts along with a gluten-free menu. Pulled pork, brisket, pulled chicken and smoked wings are just a few of the options available. Open everyday from 11 a.m-9 p.m.

11. Ethyl’s Smokehouse & Saloon

Ethyl’s offers a large menu including appetizers, soups, salads, and sandwiches. For BBQ lovers, smoked pork, brisket, ribs, catfish, and chicken are always on the menu. BBQ Taco Tuesday specials include Bar-B-Q smoked pork, chicken, brisket or fish tacos. Open everyday at 11 a.m. for lunch and dinner. Ethyl’s is located at 8505 Veterans Memorial Pkwy. in O’Fallon, MO.

12. Jimmy’s Low and Slow BBQ

Jimmy’s Low and Slow BBQ is located at 1980 South Old Highway 94 in St. Charles, on the BP Station parking lot. Open Friday-Sunday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. for carryout and delivery. Local fans swear by Jimmy’s brisket, pulled pork and ribs. 

13. Heavy Smoke BBQ

Heavy Smoke is located at 4270 N. Service Road in St. Peters. Open from 11 a.m. until they sell out, they offer award-winning BBQ 7 days a week. Brisket, burnt ends, pulled pork, ribs, and more are available as plates or sandwiches. Appetizers, wraps, and desserts round out the menu. Dine-in, carryout, and catering are available.

14. Bandana’s BBQ

The first Bandana’s opened in 1996 in Arnold, Missouri and has now expanded to numerous locations in four states. Their Southern Style BBQ is seasoned with a dry rub and cooked without sauce. All of their pork, beef, chicken and ribs are smoked for hours over a pit of selected hardwoods to create their signature smoked flavor.
